Egyptian restaurant

Very busy place and recommend to go with reservation. I loved the chicken roast. It was cooked really well and very juicy at the same time. Some how the rice does not go well with Indian pallet.

Koshary excellent presentation and taste. The Steak, Chicken and Kofta were great. On the 29th January 2022 we visited Karas مطعم مصري could not dine in but ordered and picked the food up. On our drive home I could smell the authentic Egyptian grill in the car.The Egyptian green salad smell was to be recognized as well this is no exaggeration! We loved the food adults and children too.

*** EXCEPTIONAL EXPERIENCE ***Honestly its the 1st time, I've ate a beautiful EGYPTIAN meal since I'm in Canada.Thus might be a longer review than the ones I post usually. The restaurant is very clean and cozy, staff are very friendly and very welcoming.The kitchen is open to the lobby, you can easy see what they are doing inside easily.I ordered a plate of Koshary and to be honest the portion is good enough for 2 persons, also I ordered konafa and tea with mint and it was amazing .Cons : konafa was too sweety for me but it doesn't mean it wasn't delicious i liked a lot.I recommand it to those who wants to try a real egyptian cuisine.

If I had the ability to leave a lower rating I would. My food was horrendous and I had to get them to make it twice. When I requested my order be remade and not be drowned in sauce I had the employees try to refuse to remake my order saying they couldn't just waste the food which if it had been made correctly wouldn't have needed to happen in the first place. Even after remaking the food it still wasn't correct and I will never be returning to this location ever again. Only part about the experience that was pleasurable was the fact that every other person in the restaurant thought that the way my food was prepared was as ridiculous as I did.

Food is pretty unique for what it is, that being said it was really tasty and the portion is nice and big. Of course I can’t forget about Kero, absolutely wonderful brother. Best customer service I’ve had experienced in a minute. He even offered my friend and I tea free of charge, which I turned down because I had a pop (in hindsight I’m regretting doing that). The food was great. The kids loved it and so did I. Good portions, filling. A nice experience to taste breakfast made differently. Would love to go again when we go are in Toronto next time. The atmosphere is also nice, it is a tiny restaurant.

An absolute scam. Waste of money and Fake review. We trusted all the good reviews on Google and Groupon and the food photos on their web look so delicious so we decided to buy 2 Groupon coupons then went to the restaurant right away to order.The total bill is $102 for 4 dishes including Kabab & Kofta, Kebda Fahm, Brain Morsels, and Hawawshi. Meat were too dry and some burnt while the taste was either so blank or salty… Have no idea how could it be. The Kedba Fahm even had bad smell. The best one was Hawawshi but so normal and when it was cool down, it became oily and chewy. Mind you that we ate right there in our car as this is a Take out restaurant. In addition, food photo is indeed for illustration. They just simply put the food in the box, no presentation at all.The final blow was both of us had terrible stomachache at night. So disappointed and frustrated. We cannot accept this kind of restaurant keeps running and fooling clients like this.To sum up, stay away from this Scam and save your money for other restaurants. Don’t be like us!!!!

I ordered a chicken salad and 6 pieces of falafel on Uber.I waited for my order for more than an hourChicken had foul smell.Instead of 6 falafel they only gave me 5Chicken was dry as hell. It was burnt and tasted so weird.I asked for cutlery which wasn’t there no napkins .Quality and service both are thumbs down.

Got the Lazeez “Special” chicken wrap and it was raw. Restaurant didn’t care when I called to inform them. Apparently it’s not the first time they received this feedback. Very very concerning. If you want the special wrap you also get a side of salmonella. Won’t be coming back.
